HDR
Here's how to make one with only 1 image file:
- Open athe image in Photoshop. Adjust the levels to your desired adjustment.
- In the Layer Palette, duplicate the image and make it "Screen Mode" and rename it "highlight". You will notice that it will become light or like "Over Exposed" effect. I assume that it is the +2 in levels. Save the file with the same folder as the original and rename it with "hl" at the end of the original filename and save it as ".jpg".
- Duplicate the layer again and make it "Multiply Mode" and rename it "Shadows". You will notice that it will become darker or like "under Exosed" effect. So, I assume that it will be the -2 in levels. Save it like the way you did earlier but change the "hl" to "sh" at the end and save it as "jpg".
- Open Photomatix or any HDR software you have and start importing the 3 images you have.
- Generate and Tonemap the images and do the adjustments until it fits your eyes. Tonemapping won't always be the same. It will always be relying on your choice or taste.
- After doing the tonemapping adjustments, save it as "final HDR.jpg" and that's it!
- *I sometimes duplicate the "highlight" and the "shadow" leyer to 3 duplicate each to stretch the range more so I can have 7 image files to use in my HDR software, 3 "shadows" layer in "Multiply mode" and 3 "highlights" in "Screen mode" plus the original image.
- That's how I make HDR image with one image file.
- It sucks because I can not show some images due to restrctions because I only use camphone.
